Writing and editing services for the ordinary person with an extraordinary story to tell!

About Mimid Media

My name is Kim. I was born and raised in Ohio, where the patch of land by the road is called a devil strip, a vacuum is called a sweeper, and soda is called pop. I have resided there for most of my life, except for the five and a half years I lived in Kennesaw, Georgia. I consider myself both a Buckeye and a Peach!

I discovered my passion for words in the fourth grade and have enjoyed writing and storytelling ever since. Although I consider being a wife and mother my greatest success, nothing surpasses my enthusiasm for writing and editing, as I am genuinely fascinated with language and communication. I spent a few years in college, training as a broadcast reporter and writing for the university newspaper.

I have a knack for spotting patterns and asking the right questions, which led to a successful career in risk management, quality control, business writing, and communication. Combining my passion with expertise, I now consider myself a sort of "word auditor" or organizer —my dream job.

In 2017, I was diagnosed with a rare spinal cord tumor that resulted in severe and irreparable nerve and spine damage, redefining my sense of independence. This experience led me to reevaluate my life, purpose, and relationships. As a result, I decided to pursue my passion for writing and helping others through ghostwriting and editing. I hope to give a voice to individuals and businesses who may not otherwise have one.

I run a business with my high school sweetheart, best friend, and husband of 32 years. We operate an online auction firm called Two Old Souls, Inc., where we help homeowners downsize their personal property via online auctions. In my spare time, I love hanging out with our three precocious dachshunds (Louie, George and Henry), traveling, visiting historical sites and waterfalls, hiking, reading and playing word games. I am a self-described latte junkie and pizza connoisseur, and, for total transparency, I have been accused of being a sarcasm guru. I plead the fifth, but I admit I have a pretty mean eye-roll.
